cool beans

The article from The Observer Magazine is here to read.

Bob is my dad, Jerry is his best friend and my moms brother, and Jeaneen is my mom.

hey, and you're quoted too... you're FAMOUS!

You know, I'm always torn by this. While I like to see indians beating the white man at his own game, I also worry that they forget it is a game and shouldn't be a way of life.

I look at all of this and wonder how much a part of the genocide we are bringing about ourselves. I believe change is good, evolution is neccessary, but it doesn't mean the nations have to turn into whites, just that the nations need to grow in the paths they have long ago established.

It's a really good article, Dana. I admit I learned a lot. There aren't any easy answers, are there?

Sadly, I think the MTV/McDonald's mentality is changing all our children, not just Indian children.

Great article, Dana. I also learned more than I knew an hour ago..

I loved your mother's quote about the Black Hills. To those around me, its easy to judge and say that anyone would be less poor if they'd just.. but dignity is important too.

You moving back shows a big part of who you are.. your mother says she is planning to move away.. and you recently moved back.. sometimes our pot of gold at the end of the rainbow doesn't make us rich.. it just makes us..
