Blog Snobs Be Gone click it and read.

My good friend from Yahoo 360 sent me a link to that article. I read it and realized how much blogging has been a part of my life in the past two years. Shoot I even had a man come and go but my blog is still here. Well, technicallly I changed my blogging neighborhood, but alot of what that article says shows me why I did.
A blog IS a personal journal that we choose to put out there. Sometimes we put personal stuff out there and sometimes we don't.
We choose our what goes in our blogs. Sometimes that choice gets crossed in our heads with "WHAT OTHER PEOPLE WANT TO READ." That is the point where I took a step back and realized that no matter what my blog was mine and it was about what I wanted, not what would get more page hits.
But when your actions on a blog start to piss people off like for instance. say...if you choose to comment on another person's blog that someone on your friends list don't like...and to bloggily be judged that way is crazy. Or say the fact that a person could even be attacked on a blog over what they write, who they are, who is on their friends's all merely bullshit.
I hate the whole idea of friends lists, and crap.
Sure it does make it easier to get around and read but why not just also have it like it is here on blogspot? I do fine with the way it is here.
The more and more I fix up blogspot with favorite music and other stuff the more and more I feel at home.
Because this is MY online journal. This is my life I blog about. Nobody can judge me here....I don't even think there is a blog god that can judge my blog. :)

As the dude in the article "What good does it do for any of us to journal our way into self-realization if we then fail to take it to the world around us?"

Amen, Amen! About time somebody said it - a blog is a personal exercise and you can put whatever the hell you want into it, or not! The only person you have to please is yourself! Anyone with an ounce of insight will benefit from following your thoughts and experiences. We can all learn from each other!

I think it is sad to realize the evolution of the blog into the POPULAR only blog. It is wonderful that I found you again, I hope you don't mind me keeping up with you here. Take care of you!

ah, here is something interesting from that article:

"I have a lot of respect for those who keep their active blogs and journals private or undercover for very few to read, and for those who choose not to have posting feedback on their soulful expressions if it's not necessary to them. To me that shows a certain confidence in the self-growth process. It allows a writer to focus on expressing their true thoughts and feelings without censoring themselves for fear of outside criticism. It allows a writer to become the author of their own soul, and not a journalist to humor others."

a far cry from the "they left 360 because they craved attention crap we've BEEN hearing, huh?

I've decided that 360 and myspace are a pretty seedy neighborhood, and I'm not going to be a blog whore staking out my corner...

I stay on Myspace because of family and old friends. I didn't leave 360 for attention though i know people think that. I really could give a fat flying f*ck what they think, I just feel more comfy here.
Rachel I am glad you found me.

Dorid, when I first started my 360 blog I had it private for the first 6 months...somewhere along the way I lost that part of me in my blog....letting other's judgement of me bother me made me realize i had to just up annd leave for good.

Hi Dana! I love what you had to say. I'm glad I found you here. I have bookmarked this page so I can keep reading you. I blog for me, myself, and I. If others want to read what I write or comment on something, then that is fine, but I don't ask for it or expect it. I hope you are doing well.
